Factors that can Affect Your Sleep

We have talked a lot about the consequences of poor sleep, but now let’s look specifically at factors that affect how well we sleep at night. We have separated these factors into three categories:

  • mind
  • environment
  • behaviors

The mind includes our thought patterns, including how we react to stress. The environment refers to our nighttime environment. Behaviors refers to the daytime and nighttime activities and patterns that we engage in.

In this module, we are going to focus on the mind and how it can affect sleep.  In the next modules, we will explore the environment and behaviors.
